Designed following two pillars of GAC brand philosophy, "Innovation" and "Experience", the Enpulse is a concept car that offers an insight into the future of the brand by offering a solution for the sports cars of tomorrow that will combine zero emission driving emotions. The car was presented at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show. The GAC Enpulse is built on a modular platform for electric vehicles. "It was very important for us to create a production feasible concept car to demonstrate our ability to create a truly significant product in the world of sports cars," says Zhang Fan, VP of GAC R&D and the head of design. The GAC ENPULSE is more than a sports car. It is the ultimate symbol of a young, free soul. With its dazzling and extreme styling, the ENPULSE can resonate with you in the rawest way.

The architecture- and digital art-inspired VECTOR ENERGY design language gives the GAC Enpulse Concept a striking appearance. While the ENPULSE boasts compact and balanced size, the overall proportion is unmistakably a pure sports car. Thanks to its low-slung front to the powerful stance, the ENPULSE looks like a wild beast with firm grips on the ground. The BLADE LINE on the side body exudes a strong sense of sportiness and tension. This car inherits the aerodynamic performance from the ENO.146, the all-electric passenger vehicle with the world's lowest drag coefficient revealed during 2019 Guangzhou Auto Show. The WIND SPLITTER front end is mounted with LASER ARC LIGHTS, simple yet punchy. The strategically designed front end of ENPULSE is meant to not only be aerodynamic with high efficiency, but also appear sleek and sporty as a true sports car. The beautifully shaped plan view of the ENPULSE with prominently wide fenders is pure, honest, and raw. The striking Naca-duct shaped vented rear deck which houses the retractable roof flows rearward to reveal the intricately designed hologram GAC logo.

THE INTERIOR DESIGN - HUMAN-FOCUSED INSIDE-OUT APPROACH WHERE YOU BECOME ONE WITH THE COCKPIT

The interior has been designed around the concept of purity. The cabin is enclosed by an outer ring that gives the occupants a feeling of protection and integration with the exterior. The soft upholstery of the cockpit is contrasted with the projecting structural frame that contains all the mechanics and electronics of the ENPULSE. The upper part of the cockpit floats visually inside the tank giving a sense of lightness. The structure of the car has remained visible to avoid the sporty nature of the ENPULSE. The screens for setting management are separated between driver and passenger, the aim being to keep the driver's attention from the road. The three-spoke sports steering wheel houses two displays for selecting the main functions such as driving mode selection.

TECHNOLOGY, USER INTERACTION & EXPERIENCE

Every aspect of a sports car should feel exotic, and entering the ENPULSE epitomizes this approach. The electronically activated Sky Doors open upwards, making any arrival and departure a special event. The ADIGO system takes the 'separately together' concept to a new level. Interaction can either be encouraged or individually formatted. Sound zones, temperature pockets, or even communication groups can be set up. The wide front screen is easily visible and boasts advanced navigation, HUD, and Eco-friendly interaction capabilities. With the AR technology, we created a new feature called Virtual Battle. The Virtual Battle feature allows the driver to race on a physical track against virtual opponents. Competitors can be seen in the HUD and rearview mirror providing a realistic experience while minimizing the dangers of physical interaction. On-board facing cameras work in tandem with the exterior cameras creating mini-movies and can be used to refine driving skills or to analyze the driver's performance on the track or used to simply just record beautiful sequences of a scenic road drives.
