Automobili Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023 and to celebrate this significant year, Lamborghini and Japan's most innovative contemporary artist, IKEUCHI, have joined forces in a groundbreaking artistic collaboration. Inspired by the motto of the 60th anniversary celebration "The future began in 1963", this joint project was called "Chasing the future". and includes "Time Gazer"; and "Huracan STO Time Chaser 111100". Automobili Lamborghini, the, with its strong network of 180 dealers in 53 different countries, has decided to organize transversal projects where different markets collaborate with internationally renowned artists to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The company has created an artistic platform to explore the core values of Lamborghini in all its forms, which have always distinguished it in the past, in the present and as a point of reference for the future. This first Japanese collaboration will be presented at Tokyo with IKEUCHI.Since IKEUCHI's unparalleled talent burst onto the art scene in early 2010, it has quickly garnered global attention, leading to collaborations with world-renowned brands and influential artists.
Inspired by cyberpunk and robotic anime, it combines plastic models with industrial product parts to create a vision of the future with conventional functionality. These projects fully explore the common themes of Lamborghini and IKEUCHI, i.e. H. the concepts of "time"; and "timeless": Built with genuine Lamborghini parts, the Time Gazer is a large-scale work of art intended to reflect IKEUCHI's vision of the past, present and future of the through the prism of Lamborghini development.
Lamborghini Huracán STO Time Chaser 111100 is “Opera Unica”, a unique limited edition that perfectly expresses the theme of cybernetics and the historic Lamborghini of the 60s, embracing the common values of always being at the cutting edge of Edge Time and that Breaking the rules of the past through creative and authentic expression. The influence of Lamborghini's legacy on this Opera Unica can be seen through the clear references to the introductory colors of the previous anniversary models and the use of 111100, the binary code for the number 60, in the naming itself. .Inspired by Lamborghini's rich heritage, IKEA used original parts from past anniversary models such as the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, Lamborghini Diablo SE30, Lamborghini Murciélago 40th Anniversary and Lamborghini Aventador LP-720-4 50th Anniversary for these creations. By combining these parts and other elements, IKEUCHI interpreted the Huracan STO in its signature cyber-industrial futuristic style.
